Since its founding,Dandong Tongda Science and Technology has focused on the field of X-ray analytical instruments. In 2013, the company established a deep partnership with the team of Academician Chen Xiaoming of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly setting up an expert workstation. Tongda also took the lead role in the National Major Scientific Instrument Development Project sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. In collaboration with seven research institutions, including Sun Yat-sen University and the Shenyang Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the team worked together for eight years and successfully launched the TD-5000 in 2021 – the first X-ray single crystal diffractometer in China with fully independent intellectual property rights. This achievement marked a “zero-to-one” breakthrough for domestically produced equip1ment in this field.

Tongda has built a comprehensive product line covering TD series diffractometers, benchtop diffractometers, crystal orienters, and crystal analyzers. Among them, the TD-3500 diffractometer is widely used for qualitative and quantitative phase analysis with high precision and stability; the TDM-20 benchtop diffractometer is lightweight and flexible, suitable for rapid on-site testing; and the TD-3700 high-resolution diffractometer is equipped with 1D or 2D array detectors, significantly improving analysis efficiency.
Intelligent Upgrade: Robotic Arm and Remote Control
The company's AI-powered fully automatic diffractometer deeply integrates artificial intelligence and robotics. A high-precision robotic arm automatically handles the picking, placing, and measurement of various samples, including powders, thin films, and bulk materials. Remote operation via a mobile app, combined with an automatic door opening/closing system, greatly enhances safety and convenience. The modular architecture leaves ample room for future upgrades and expansions.
