Research Applications

Robust Hardware for Stable and Reliable Data

The TD-3500 features a mature, industrial-grade hardware architecture and comes standard with an X-ray source, with optional Cu or Mo targets. The tube voltage is adjustable from 10 to 60 kV and the tube current from 2 to 80 mA, enabling extended continuous operation well suited for routine laboratory use.

 The instrument is equipped with a high-precision goniometer driven by a closed-loop servo system. The 2θ scanning range extends from -3° to 161°, delivering precise angular positioning and excellent reproducibility. An integrated monochromator effectively filters stray radiation and suppresses Kα₂ interference, enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio of diffraction patterns and ensuring accurate phase analysis results at the hardware level.

 

Automated Operation for Easy Maintenance

The TD-3500 integrates an intelligent PLC control system with a touch-screen interface, supporting automated workflows for scan setup, data acquisition, and pattern output. The intuitive interface simplifies operation, making the instrument accessible to users with varying levels of experience.

 The system features an integrated self-cooling design that eliminates the need for external circulating water cooling, significantly reducing the risk of issues associated with external connections and tubing. Built-in safety mechanisms monitor water flow, temperature, and pressure, ensuring reliable operation under standard laboratory conditions with minimal maintenance requirements.

 Phase Analysis

The TD-3500 supports standard θ/2θ scanning and thin-film analysis modes. It enables qualitative and quantitative phase analysis of powder, bulk, and thin-film samples, and can also calculate crystallinity, crystallite size, and lattice parameters.
